Brief Job Summary

Participate in construction, manage crew, inventory, QA in the construction of manufactured homes on site at a brand new shop located in the Yarmouth area (exact location coming soon). Some on site construction and installation will be required.

Wildscape Co. is looking for a motivated, problem solving oriented crew leader to manage the day to day construction of Manufactured homes starting this summer. This will include managing the schedules of labourers as well as participating in daily construction. The successful applicant should be a capable carpenter and have working knowledge in all tasks related to home construction.

Duties + Responsibilities

-Reading from architectural drawings to complete a full build
-Manage schedules, training, supervise, and coaching to new staff as well as experienced workers
-Understanding of all aspects of home building
-Being responsible for tool and site organization
-Managing and ordering materials/lumber/supplies for construction
-Construction site, shop clean-up and maintenance
-Assisting skilled tradespeople
-Help to create a work environment that is cheerful, productive, and inclusive

Requirements + Qualifications
-Strong project management skills
-Basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing, and electrical systems (solar power / 12v wiring a plus)
-Experience working with a wide variety of tools and machinery
-Ability to read and utilize technical manuals and drawings
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-Friendly and hospitable
-General passion for creative problem-solving
-Digitally competent with access to a cell phone
-Have a valid drivers’ license

Schedule
-Full time contract position (future possibility of salary)

Compensation
-CA$28.00 – CA$33.00 per hour
-Weekly or hourly pay to be based on experience
